Welcome to Timed Stat Tracker

Every coach wants to know how their team is doing and how they are progressing. This application will give you that information.

The application allows you to create whatever timed statistics you are interested in. Be it time of possession for you or your opponent, time on offense, time on defense, etc, etc. Its completely up to you what you track.

Tracking the stat is as simple as touching the screen. Touch to start, touch to end.

After the game you are given the ability to see graphical reports showing how your team is doing over time. You can look at one stat or all of them. Reports can be emailed to you as PDF and/or as CSV for import into Excel for further analysis.

Don't see a report you want? Let me know and I'll do my best to create it for you.

Instructions

I'll make an effort to get some screen shots and better instructions posted, but to get you going:

1) Go into Settings:
a) Create a season - dates don't matter too much at this point
b) Create your team, and then create at least one opposing team (hit the switch next to 'Opponent' to show that this is an opposing team.
c) Add Stats to your team - this could be possession time, time in offensive zone, etc, etc. You choose. Stats can be different for different teams that you create.
d) You can also edit the periods to match your sport. I don't FORCE the timer to stop at the defined period length, however the time will appear RED when running the game when you are past the configured period length.

2) Go into Games:
a) Create a new game and fill in the information.
b) Hit Run Game

3) When running the Game:
a) Hit the Start/Stop button at the top of the screen whenever the game clock starts/stops.
b) Whenever you need the time to run on a stat (e.g. you get possession) hit the button next to the stat. Hit it again to stop counting.
c) You DO NOT need to hit the button next to a stat when the game stops - i.e. at a whistle. Hitting the Start/Stop at the top of the screen will stop all time counts.
d) If you make a mistake, don't worry. Hit the edit button next to a stat and you will see details. You can delete or edit entries in here.

4) When the game is done, go to Reports:
a) Stat Reports - single stat, shows time over the whole season with details.
b) Game Report - shows times for the selected game.
c) Team Report - all stats for the season, broken up by:
- Summary - all games for season
- vs Opponent - select an opponent and see stats vs just that team
- Home/Away - shows only home or away games
- Game Type - shows stats for the various game times (League, Exhibition, Tournament and playoffs).

Note: All reports can be emailed to you. Those with graphs are sent as PDF and as CSV. Those without graphs come just as CSV. CSV can be imported into Excel or any other spreadsheet program for further analysis.
